Stephen Barker Bodwell (1823-1900)

Stephen was educated in the public schools. He moved to Lawrence with his father's family and lived on Haverhill Street, Lawrence, where he lived and died. He was a farmer by occupation. In religion he was a Universalist, and in politics a Republican.

At the time of son Leonard's birth, 1848, Stephen was working as a teamster (a driver of freight wagons).
