Winfield Palmer Bodwell (1917- )Son of: Charles 1876
Children of Winfield and Marian (Hussey) Bodwell
Sandra's childhood interest in drawing influenced her decision to begin painting with "The Pink House Group" in Westport, CT under the direction of Arlene Skutch in the mid 1980's. She is a member of several art organizations including Connecticut Women Artists, New Haven Paint and Clay and Salt Water Artists Gallery. Sandra has participated in many juried, group and solo shows and won several awards. Her background in biology and zoology led her to turn to the natural world for subject matter. She enjoys discovering unique ways of combining landscapes, plants and animals, often finding connections between elements in nature that would not ordinarily be noticed. She is not satisfied with a strictly realistic presentation and strives to find a novel approach to integrating nature's exquisite designs. Sandra now resides in Bath, Maine.
