At the time of his marriage Willis was working as a machinist. Later he was a mechanic with the Buick Automobile Company in New Haven. Willis was also an actor who used the stage name "Arthur LeClair". He was a long-time member of the Mix Avenue Fire Department on Shepard Avenue in Hamden, Ct. *Jean V. Bodwell Lohr was a Hamden, Connecticut resident for many years before moving to Glastonbury in 1993. She was a member of the Salvation Army Band for many years. She was a member and former historian of the Whitneyville Congregational Church in Hamden and a member of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists. She also belonged to the Sons and Daughters of the First Settlers of Newbury, Massachusetts, and to the historical societies of Garrett County, Md. And Mineral County, West Virginia.
