Ronald S. Bodwell, age 58, of Beaumont, CA, passed away on October 22, 2009, after a battle with cancer at his home in Cherry Valley R.V. Park.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday November 2, 2009 at Peace Lutheran Church Wall Lake, IA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
Ronald was born on January 26, 1951, in Carroll, IA to Harry and Mildred (Wunschel) Bodwell. He graduated from Wall Lake High School. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, Wall Lake.
Ronald was a heavy equipment operator doing freeway construction living and working in South Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and California. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling in his R.V. He worked as a sercurity guard at the Cherry Valley R.V. Park where he resided. He also was a vendor for Davis Enterprises doing NASCAR races.
Survivors include his mother Mildred Bodwell, of Wall Lake; step-mother Doris Bodwell, of Grand Junction, CO; one brother James (Reta) Bodwell, of Pilger, NE; one sister Marsha (Donald) Stork, of Breda, IA; 2 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great granddaughter; his nieces and nephews: Lori McCormack, Jamie Bodwell, Richard Bodwell, Tim Stork, Tiffany Stork, and Tony Stork; and special friends Dave and Lynda Wright, of Arizona.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Judy; his father Harry Bodwell; and step-mother Crystal Bodwell.
