Dick's oldest son Bradley graduated from Lehigh University as a chemical engineer. After five years with Bectel he returned to school and received his MBA from Amos Tuck at Dartmouth. He then worked for Booz Alan Hamilton and AT Kearney as a consultant and is currently employed by Prometheus Energy in Houston, Texas. Brad his wife Vickie and three sons, Fischer, Henry and Wesley reside in Austin, Texas. Daughter Elizabeth (Beth) now lives in Niskeyuna, New York with her husband Mark Brown. where she is employed by College of St. Rose. They have two boys Brian and Mitchel. Son Brian is a senior at Brockport College and Mitchell is in his second year at St. John Fisher College. Dick's youngest son Greg lives in Gardner, Montana and is currently studying for the Montana Bar Exam. He is a recent graduate of the University Of Montana School of Law. In addition he holds a BA in History from Haverford College, a MA in History from the University of Cincinnati, A PHD from Case Western Reserve in History and a MA in Library Science from Kent State University.

Dick served served on the Village of Chagrin Falls village council for 8 years and was president for four years. In addition he served as Mayor for six years. Dick has been in the life insurance business for 54 years an still very active servicing over 1300 clients. Dick is a member of Parkside Church, where he taught first grade Sunday School for 10 years and has been serving with the Good News Jail an Prison Ministry in Geauga County Ohio for 16 years. Also, he has played senior softball with the Babes of 1916 for 11 years.
