Boyd is an actor who has appeared on the "Cheers" and "Remington Steele" , he became a very successful commercial actor. In the early 1980Õs he became the first actor to say ÒThis stuffÕs made in New York City!Ó in a very famous old western style commercial for Pace Picante Sauce (he still keeps a fresh jar of Pace in the fridge to this day). Until his retirement in 2014, he continued to act in commercials for the following (in no way a complete list, only a small sample): The United States Postal Service, Toys RÕ Us, Genie Garage Doors, McDonaldÕs, Frosted Mini Wheats, General MotorsÕ On Star, Blockbuster Video, DiGiorno Pizza, and The American Cancer Society.
