Burke Everett Bodwell, Sr. (1881-1968)

Burke was a veteran of the Spanish-American War of 1898. He served on the U.S.S. Bennington, Independence, and Adams from 1901 to 1905. He filed for a disability pension in 1925.

The 1920 census for Arthur Precinct, Arthur County, Nebraska reports Burke's occupation as farmer and Esther's as school teacher.
